Meet Your Denton Veterinarians

Dr. Randy Wuensche

Dr. Randy Wuensche

Veterinarian/Medical Director

Dr. Randy Wuensche is Denton Veterinary Center’s Medical Director. Dr. Wuensche grew up in the Victoria area of south Texas then spent the entire decade of the eighties at Texas A&M University, receiving undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Science and Veterinary Science in 1984 and 1987 respectively. Dr. Wuensche received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1989 and has been practicing ever since in Denton County and founded Denton Veterinary Center in 1999.

Dr. Wuensche and his wife Terrie live in Copper Canyon (just south of Denton) on their twenty-acre ranch (El Rancho Bajo sus Alas). Terrie is an active litter foster for The Love Pit Rescue based in Dallas/Ft. Worth. They have five pet cows, two miniature donkeys, two sister mules, a Shetland pony, Rosie the Duroc pig, Nola the pot-bellied pig, and seven dogs (not counting when the kid’s dogs stay over or fosters!)

Randy and Terrie Wuensche have three children – Ross is a graduate of Texas A&M and is a collegiate scout for the Dallas Cowboys; Maddie graduated from Texas A&M and is newly married to Wesley Polk and a kindergarten teacher in Trophy Club, TX; and Sammie a student at Liberty Christian School in Argyle, TX.

The Wuensche/Polk family are Covenant Members of the Village Church – Flower Mound and feel blessed to be saved by grace. Isaiah 49:16

Dr. Joshua Quast

Dr. Joshua Quast

Veterinarian

Dr. Joshua Quast was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Denton. He grew up attending Liberty Christian School along with his six siblings. He attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 2014 with honors as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Quast has a strong interest in internal medicine, ultrasound, canine reproduction and performance dog medicine. He strives to provide quality veterinary medicine and surgery with an emphasis on client education and compassionate patient care.

Outside the animal hospital, Dr. Quast is an avid outdoorsman. He trains and competes with retrievers in AKC Licensed Retriever Hunt Tests and is certified as an AKC judge. He actively shows dogs in AKC conformation events, including several breed champions.

Dr. Quast and Dr. Katrina Lindsay are married and live in Denton with their 3 dogs, Caddo (Chesapeake Bay Retriever), Finn (Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever) and Dodge (French Brittany), and their two cats, Ozzie and Ollie (both Ragdolls).

Veterinarian

Dr. Katrina Lindsay was born and raised in Southern California and graduated from the University of California Davis with honors with a degree in Animal Science. Following college, she moved to College Station, Texas to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Lindsay graduated with honors from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014.

Even from a young age, Dr. Lindsay always had a love of animals. She has a strong interest in feline medicine, ultrasound, diagnostic cytology, and internal medicine. Dr. Lindsay believes in providing the highest quality, individualized, compassionate veterinary care to all of her patients. Dr. Lindsay’s favorite part of her job is helping sick patients get well and helping healthy patients stay healthy!

Outside the animal hospital, Dr. Lindsay enjoys arts and crafts, reading, watching movies, and getting to spend time with friends and family. She is married to Dr. Joshua Quast and together they have three dogs, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Caddo, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever named Finn and a French Brittany named Dodge, and two Ragdoll cats named Ollie and Ozzie. She looks forward to meeting you and your pets!

Dr. Caroline Varner

Dr. Caroline Varner

Veterinarian

Dr. Caroline Varner was born in Carrollton, TX but grew up outside of Jackson, MS. She attended Mississippi State University graduating as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May 2019.

Dr. Varner has a special interest in canine rehabilitation and sports medicine, behavior, nutrition, and canine reproduction. She is currently completing coursework for The University of Tennessee’s Canine Rehabilitation Certificate Program (CCRP). Dr. Varner is Fear Free certified and believes in making every visit an enjoyable and stress-free experience for both pet and owner.

In her free time, Dr. Varner enjoys spending time outdoors, horseback riding, and relaxing with her family and friends. Dr. Varner lives in Little Elm with her husband Kyle and their two Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Tinsley and Winston, and Bubbles The Pug.

Veterinary Technician

Allyson was born and raised in Denton, Texas. She graduated from Guyer High School in 2012 and started working at DVC in 2014. She always had a passion for animals, growing up her dog was with her everywhere she went, animals make the best companions.

Working at Denton Veterinary Center has been a huge blessing in her life - she found a job that allows her to care for animals all day long and work with a supportive and positive staff.

Allyson lives in Denton with my dog Maximus, a four-year-old Labrador mix. Her hobbies include paddle boarding and camping with Max and exploring the Texas State parks together.

Kelly, LVT

Kelly, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician/Practice Manager

After college in upstate New York, Kelly moved to Georgia and began working as a veterinary technician in 1998 in Kennesaw, GA. After moving up within the practice, she started with the Greater Atlanta Veterinary Medical Group and the Animal Emergency Hospital of North Fulton. In 2004, she became a Licensed Veterinary Technician, then relocated to Texas to work in an Equine Reproduction and Surgical Facility in 2005. Within the year she realized she was meant to specialize in small animal nursing and went back to ER/Small Animal work for many more years.

Kelly has a special interest in small animal emergency and critical care, orthopedic and neurology surgical cases, as well as training staff on splinting, bandaging and sterile wound management. She has taken several specialty courses in advanced microscopy, Anesthesia and Pain Management, as well as Radiology and Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging Techniques. Kelly began working at DVC in May of 2017. She lives in Gainesville with my husband Deryl, 2 Children Kyleigh (14), Danny (5) and several pets - 1 horse, 2 dogs, and a Domestic Longhaired Cat named after the Scientist, “Charles Darwin”.

Missy, LVT

Missy, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Missy is a Licensed Veterinary Technician at Denton Vet Center. Missy was born and raised in Farifield, CT. She graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Pathobiology and attended Purdue University and received a degree in Veterinary Technology. After Purdue, Missy became a Licensed Veterinary Technician and worked at High Ridge Animal Hospital in Stamford, CT for over 17 years.

In August 2018, Missy, along with her husband and son moved to Texas. With them came their 5 pets, 2 dogs, a bird, a guinea pig, and a Russian Tortoise. Shortly after starting work at DVC, Missy adopted a stray kitten that had come into DVC injured and was living at the hospital.

Missy has a strong passion for small animals and enjoys working with exotic pets as well. When not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys watching her son play baseball for the Texas Rattlers, so if you need her, she is probably on the ball field.


Bradlin , LVT

Bradlin, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Bradlin started her career in veterinary medicine in 2001. After several years of assisting in various positions at the clinic, Bradlin decided to attend school for Veterinary Technology and received her degree from Oklahoma State University in 2006. Since graduating, Bradlin has dedicated her skills to patients in general practice, specialty care, and emergency medicine in Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas. She started at DVC in February of 2018. While Bradlin enjoys all aspects of her career, she has a special passion for nutrition, disease prevention and treatment, as well as client and staff education.

When she’s not busy caring for furry loved ones, Bradlin enjoys scrapbooking, cooking, and spending time with her husband Paul and their 3 cats: Inara Bacon, Mildred Sausage, and Allen Hamsteak.


Janee

Janee

Client Care Reception

Janee has one of the smiling faces that greet you at Denton Vet Center since 2013. Originally from Long Beach, California, she owned and operated her own landscape company for 12 years. Janee moved to Denton to be closer to her family. Her mother grew up on a large ranch near Melissa, Texas.

Janee’s fourteen-year-old chihuahua, Pansy, keeps her company while she works on gardening projects and refinishing furniture. Janee has one daughter who is a petroleum engineering major at Texas Tech.

Janee’s favorite parts of working at DVC are meeting the interesting people and pets who come through the doors every day, along with the great friendships she has made over the years working at DVC.

Kennel Technician

Kaitlyn has lived in Denton, Texas her whole life. She graduated from Lake Dallas High School in May, then started working at DVC. Animals have always been a huge part of her life and she feels blessed that she is helping animals feel better as they did for her when she was sick with leukemia. Kaitlyn has five dogs that are all rescued and a cat. Mia the Rottweiler holds a very special place in my heart because she was her dog from the very beginning and never left her side when sick.

Outside the animal hospital, she volunteers at Denton Animal Shelter to love on all the animals and walk dogs to give them some one on one time. She loves working at Denton Veterinary Center because it allows her to work with animals all day long and having a supportive staff that is uplifting and positive. She is so blessed that to be a part of the DVC team!

Giovanni

Giovanni

Veterinary Technician

Giovanni has been working in the Veterinary Healthcare field since September 2012. He started back in 2005 volunteering with local humane societies in Louisiana and Alabama. He has acquired all if his experience through working directly in the field. He has such a drive and passion in a career that is so very rewarding to him.

​​​​​​​His main medical interest includes emergency medical, growth and development of life stages; critical care and client education. In his spare time, he enjoys activities such as boating, soccer, being on or near the water, hiking, biking the outdoors and spending time with friends and family. He has a French Bulldog named Rhome who he also enjoys spending time with.

Veterinary Technician

I was born and raised in Flower Mound, TX. I graduated from Flower Mound High School in 2013 and received a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science from Tarleton State University in 2017. I went on to get a Masters of Science Degree in Biology in 2019. I started in the veterinary medicine world in 2014 as a kennel technician and have progressed to veterinary technician. I have loved getting to know both clients and their pets through compassionate animal care.

​​​​​​​I have 3 pets, a golden retriever named Lucy, a very busy border collie named Ryder, and a cat named Martin Luther Kitty. When I am not at work, I enjoy reading, playing fetch with my two dogs and spending time with my friends and family.
